Filtration soiling is a problem that affects many carpets. You can recognize filtration lines easily. They show themselves as dark lines around walls and underneath doors. In this article I will explain how these lines are formed and what can be done about them.
Filtration lines form when your air conditioning and heating system blows air into your room. The air is blown into a room effectively pressurizing it. The air must go somewhere so it goes underneath walls and closed doors to equalize the rooms pressure. The carpet along this area acts as a filter. It traps the fine particles of dust and soot that are in the air. These fine particles are difficult if not impossible to remove.
If you have these lines your first step is to call a professional carpet cleaner. They will have the knowledge to get rid of the lines. You could try home spotters but the residue lef behind would probably cause the lines to reappear later and they would probably be worse.
If you get rid of the lines or just want to prevent them, there are some steps you can take. Filtration lines are worse if you burn candles, incense or oil burners so use them sparingly. Also try to leave doors to rooms open as much as possible. This gives the air a place to go besides under your walls. Lastly you can use quality air filters in your HVAC system that filter smaller dirt particles. That’s about all you can do. Unfortunately filtration lines are just a part of owning carpet.

The style of your interior depends for a great part on the decoration on the walls. Using the right picture on the right place can make your room look bigger. I experienced this for myself when I came in this business. I do sell reproduction paintings, you know.
Actually, I came in the reproduction painting business because I was amazed about what one painting can do to your living room. Let me explain. I had an old painting on my wall that looked very nice. But, there was something missing. I decided that I had to replace it. I always wanted a Van Gogh, but I knew I would never be able to buy one.
After a few months I discovered that there was a business that did just what I was looking for. I bought a reproduction painting from them, and this is the way my own business started. I was overwhelmed by the artistic talent of the reproductionist who captured the realistic impressionism of Van Gogh. So I decided to work together with these guys.
I figured out they use the same techniques the old masters used. With several painters who are specialized in one artist, and only reproduce work of that artist. There are specialists of Van Gogh, Monet, Renoir, Gauguin and a lot more impressionists.
Since I started this business I feel like helping other people realize there dream. They are affordable for everyone. You can already buy a “real” Van Gogh for as less as 120 USD. This is not too much for a beautiful lasting post-impressionistic piece of artwork. If you are searching for this kind of timeless house warming painting, go and check out my website at http://www.repropaint.com

Mopping may not be the most fun job in the world but nothing can make as big of a difference in your home as a nice clean floor. A shining floor expresses the message that your house is clean. If you want a cleaner home or just want to get done with mopping quicker, read these 5 quick mopping tips.
1. Flip your mop over often to expose a clean side. If you use only one side you will have to rinse it more, wasting time.
2. Before you mop your floor be sure to vacuum or sweep it first. Remove soil when it is dry before it turns into sticky mud.
3. Use the correct amount of floor cleaner. If you try to be cheapo and use too little it will not work as quickly. if you use too much you will leave a residue on the floor making it get dirty quicker.
4. Make at least two passes over each area. On your first pass you will wet the floor with cleaner. Give the cleaner time to work and then remove the soil on your second pass.
5. Rinse your mop often to keep from spreading dirt around. If your floor is very soiled you may need to dump your mop water one or two times.
These 5 little things should help you greatly improve the cleanliness of your floor and will help you get the job done quicker so that you can enjoy your home.
